In case you missed it, I took over the studio at Phoenix FM last Friday and had a proper good time. I used to spend hours as a kid creating mixtapes so I was pretty excited to have a go at the grownup equivalent.
The boss was in the studio with me to make sure that I didn’t break anything and at one point, I even got him cued up on the guest mic, live, for the most public appraisal anyone’s ever had! I was playing some belting tunes, sharing some of your most embarrassing workplace blunders and I even told some of mine. (Yeah, with my new boss in the room. Weirdest induction ever.)
Luckily, I managed to press most of the right buttons at roughly the right times and kept you all so well entertained that the boss asked me to stay on with a regular slot. So, I’m proud to be Phoenix FM’s new Friday afternoon guy! I’ll be presenting the One2Three show every Friday from 1pm-3pm.
I’ve got my own section on the Phoenix FM website where you can see my radio blogs and listen back to the audio from my first show if you missed it. I’ll keep it updated with a summary of each show, links to the stuff I’ve talked about, pictures and details of the guests I’ve interviewed.
I hope you can join me this week and every Friday afternoon from 1pm-3pm. You can listen online, download the Phoenix FM app or tune in to 98FM in Essex. If you’re listening, you can contact me via social media in all the usual ways and maybe you’ll get a mention!
Stay cool
Stew
